Now that the spring edition is complete, it's time to work on the Scholar handbook. I'm not personally designing the handbook (a guide for incoming Church Health Scholars), but I'm assisting with reviews and creating a fun map of Memphis to include in the book. I started working on a map project before and I've realized that the tool I needed to be using was Adobe Illustrator, not Photoshop. Illustrator isn't my forte, so I took this project as a perfect opportunity to learn more about it. I learned how to create textures, add worn edges, overlay patterns, and turn art into vector images. There's still a lot to do, so here's what the map looks like so far!
